June 1 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Have you seen the latest films focusing on the work you do? There are a number of documentaries that have come out in the past few years focusing on different issues that impact the early childhood community, including formative years, early intervention, funding early education, policies, and best practices.
Join together with early childhood educators from around the community to watch these films and reflect on them together.
Tuesday, June 1; 7:00-9:00 PM
Each session provides COKS corresponding to the number of hours the workshop runs. Please note, for “The Raising of America,” participants must attend all 3 sessions to receive credit.
No Small Matter –
First feature documentary to explore the most overlooked, underestimated, and powerful force for good in America today: early childhood education. Through poignant stories and surprising humor, the film lays out the overwhelming evidence for the importance of the first five years, and reveals how our failure to act on that evidence has resulted in an everyday crisis for American families, and a slow-motion catastrophe for the country.
