Have you seen the latest films focusing on the work you do? There are a number of documentaries that have come out in the past few years focusing on different issues that impact the early childhood community, including formative years, early intervention, funding early education, policies, and best practices.
Join together with early childhood educators from around the community to watch these films and reflect on them together.
Wednesdays; May 12, 7:30-9:00pm; May 19, 7:30-9:00pm; and May 26: 7:00-9:00pm
Each session provides COKS corresponding to the number of hours the workshop runs. Please note, for “The Raising of America,” participants must attend all 3 sessions to receive credit.
The Raising of America –
Why are so many children in the richest country on the planet faring so poorly? What are the consequences for the nation’s future? How might we do better? The series’ Signature Hour asks how we might make a strong start the birthright of every infant in the U.S. The four additional episodes dive in for a closer look. Will the U.S. invest in its youngest children and their families, or will it squander its own future?
